Power brand Pierre Balmain has opened its first flagship store located n SOHO – Resembling, the beautiful mid-century vacation home on the Italian island of Elba that served as M. Balmain’s retreat.
Featuring touches of gold and brass, impressive mirrors and re-editions of classic 20th-century French furniture designs, the crowning touch is a large 19th-Century replica of a classic Greek statue that evokes Pierre Balmain’s collection of classic terracotta figurines.
Impressive hidden surrounding sound, augments the store shopping experience. “We build harmonious sound systems that do not detract from the overall store design,” says 48First CEO Peter Mogollón. “Our systems and IT infrastructure is built to complement the desired look and feel of the store, we worked very close with Pierre Balmain to ensure the appropriate audio and IT systems were implemented”
In a press release, Mr. Rousteing waxed poetic about Manhattan and why he had to have his shop located in SOHO. “Anyone who knows me knows that I find America incredibly inspiring. I admire its uniquely open spirit, mix of peoples and impressive culture—and New York is all that, multiplied by a thousand…What most intrigues me is that amazing mix of energy, creativity and beauty that you find in downtown Manhattan.”
The IT systems, video and infrastructure for the new store were designed and built by 48First CEO Peter Mogollon, and include high-end sound and a visually appealing IT infrastructure for day to day operations.
